⟩⟩⟩ CincyFlags
CincyFlags is a grant-funded project that created a professionally-designed flag for each of Cincinnati’s 52 neighborhoods. Over the course of a year and a half, we hired and organized a group of eleven designers. Our goal was to create meaningful flags by gathering community feedback and holding workshops. We Be Team directly created designs for a dozen flags and implemented a common color family across the project. The flags were unveiled on September 27th, 2019 at Findlay Market.
“We partnered with National Flag Company to produce two flags for each neighborhood - one for each neighborhood’s community council, and the other for the Cincinnati Neighborhood Games. All assets are now open source and free for anyone to use.”
All designs, symbolism and info can be found on the CincyFlags website. This project was made possible by: The Engage Cincy grant, The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation, and Findlay Market.
